Redlands Tigers Club Captain

2019/20 Club Captain

Wes Aspeling

Redlands Tigers would like to announce Wes Aspeling has recently been named our Club Captain for the upcoming season. Wes has taken over from Marty Miers who has done a great job over the last couple of seasons. Marty has recently gotten married & is enjoying his weekends with his beautiful bride Sally. Redlands Tigers would like to thank Marty for his time & effort & we hope to see him back down the club soon.

Wes started his time at the club when we were Easts Redlands back in 1998. In his first season with the club, he was a part of the 1st Grade One Day Premiership winning squad that had guys like Jimmy Maher, Shane Watson, Damien McKenzie, Paul Stenhouse, Paul Hutchison, Ryan Poole, Matt Hayward, Matt Petrie, Craig Stone, Stephen Hood, Daniel Payne & Brad Spud Murphy our former 1st Grade coach.

Wes is 1st Grade cap number 581& has gone on to be part of other premiership winning teams at the club. His enthusiasm around the playing group is infectious. After a few seasons away from the club, he finally returned to the club & he had an immediate impact on the field & with the players.

The playing group love having him around & he is found down at the club usually helping out Mark Rassmussen, Ryan LeLoux & Greg Moller on Tuesday & Thursday nights helping with grade training. His son Will is part of the Lords Taverner’s squad so now he is there on Wednesday nights as well & helps out with the Women’s team.

Please join us in congratulating Wes on his latest appointment. Redlands Tigers Club Captain.
